Robert Sinskey Rose Vin Gris Los Carneros 2023
Only a guy like Rob Sinskey would take fruit from his prime certified
organic Los Carneros Pinot Noir vines and make a Rosé that doesn't
command the same price. He does it because he loves the wines, as do I.
The 2023 version is so lightly colored that it can only be described as
pale salmon. Rob himself has proclaimed, "Over-extraction for the sake
of color is a no-no." But like the old beer commercial, "Don't let the
pale color fool you!" This is intensely flavored Rosé with hints of
strawberry, guava, white peach and a zippy, mineral-laden finish. So
long...so lovely. Absolutely remarkable!
