Marques de Tomares Rioja Reserva 2017
Its varietal composition is 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano grapes, grown on hundred-year-old vines. Fermentation took place at controlled temperatures in stainless steel and concrete tanks. The wine was aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by a further 18 months in the bottle. A classical-style Rioja, with prominent aromas of black fruit and chocolate. On the palate, fine tannins and notes of fruit and oak.
Marqués de Tomares Reserva Especial 2017 (D.O.Ca. Rioja) will pair perfectly with gelatinous dishes such as lamb’s trotters. It’s also delicious with barbecued carré of beef.
