Christophe Thibert, always the perfectionist, continues to fashion Chardonnay that sets benchmarks. Not only is he one of the driving forces for 1er cru designations for vineyards in the Macon, he is making wines that truly deserve it! The grapes for his Vignes Blanches Pouilly-Fuisse come from 50-year-old vines and are entirely harvested by hand. Organically farmed since 2007, this classic Pouilly is not only the class of the Macon but also rivals some of the best whites from the Cote de Beaune. White peaches, citrus, minerals, chervil and light spice tones have the textured notes of great Pouilly with wondrous acidity levels. A show stopper for sure!
