Pra winery, run by Graziano Pra, is a historic, benchmark producer of Soave and "under the radar" Valpolicella and Amarone. Prà’s reds have a bright freshness and mineral core. Prà’s Amarone avoids the overtly heavy, raisiny/chocolately profile, and balances tremendous power with real finesse and a lovely, floral and high-toned, ripe plum profile. A unique wine of its kind, for sure. This silky, medium to full bodied red is bursting with dark cherry and plum flavors. A savory herbal note balances the wine and adds complexity. Firm but approachable tannins and bright acidity lead to a long and brilliant finish.
