Domaine Bonnefond Côte-Rôtie Colline de Couzou 2021
Sourced from select parcels across the northern and southern reaches of Côte-Rôtie, the Colline de Couzou is rooted in schist and granite soils. Fermented in stainless steel with approximately 20% whole clusters, it undergoes 18 months of aging in 400L barrels, 20% of which are new. The result is a wine of purity and finesse—medium-bodied yet concentrated, with vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins. Layers of cassis, blackberry, and black cherry intertwine with notes of violets, black pepper, cinnamon, smoky oak, and a touch of vanilla. Elegant and expressive, this would be a perfect match for a roast leg of lamb.
