This is a fantastic full-bodied red with a complexity rarely seen aside from Vega Sicilia. Comprised of 75% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) with a good dollop of Cabernet Sauvignon and a kiss of Merlot, 2022 is a superb example of sexy Spanish wine filled with a deep core of blackberry compote, espresso, scorched earth, tobacco, and rosemary. This wine is lush, sure, but there is a supple tannic structure and excellent acidity that keeps it lively on the palate—amazing wine to enjoy now through 2030 and beyond.
