Maria Cristina Oddero keeps the family platitudes close to her heart in making a fantastic, authentic Barolo, taking just what the vintage gave her and neither over extracting nor making a meek wine. Having tasted the 2021 a month ago, I can assure you it is a killer wine. Lively dried cherries, kirschy fruit, leather, and floral components meld together for a deliciously forward drinking Barolo. Sexy bing cherry, cinnamon, leather and smoked meat have great power and finesse. A tremendous Nebbiolo to enoy now through 2034.
