Muri-Gries Pinot Grigio 2022
Christian Werth is the current winemaker of this beautiful estate
housed in a monastery from the 14th century. From vines planted at over
260 meters above sea level, this is a blend of fruit from Bozen and
Kaiserau vineyarsds on gravelly alluvial soils. Fermented in stainless
steel tanks with 25% of the wine aged for 5 months in in used barrels,
this is Pinot Grigio with great texture and simultaneous vibrancy from
its great reserve of acidity. Luscious stone fruits, pear, citrus and a
touch of acacia, this is a world beating Pinot Grigio that sets the bar
high for this varietal. Outstanding stuff!
