Hard to fathom a better Nebbiolo value that this stunner from Giordano.
100% Nebbiolo from 40+ year old vines located just below the tower in Barbaresco, this is great terroir. Others who cull fruit from this hillside include Gaja, Moccagatta and De Forville but only Giordano claims "Cavanna" on the bottle highlighting the superb terroir of this cru. Layers upon layers of ripe raspberry fruit with hints of baking spices, rhubarb and iron and anise. Great length and a superb wine to enjoy now through 2032.
