Jolie-Laide California Red "Glou d'Etat" 2022
Jolie-Laide translates loosely from French to "pretty-ugly", a term of
endearment describing something unconventionally beautiful. This
American red is just that and more...a blend of 38% Valdigue, 33% Mourvedre, 17% Grenache, with the remainder split with Cab Franc, Syrah, Carignane, Petite Verdot - it provides lift to the crunchy red fruits,
strawberry, pomegranate and spice flavors. Foot stomped and coming from
Alder Springs, Coast View and Brosseau vineyards, it has great intensity
of fruit with an ethereal character that is so alluring. A perfect fall
red to enjoy now through 2027.
