Gerard and Jerome keep things simple... hand harvest, gentle pressing, total destemming, cold maceration, and only 1/3 new oak for aging. The 60+ year old vines are planted on chalky soils providing the lifeforce for this supple beauty. And beautiful it is... filled with red berries, stoked embers, light spices, raspberry, mint, and lilac. Framed by ripe but formidable tannins, this is one for both the present and the future.
