Domaine de la Lande Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil 2020
This is 100% Cabernet Franc grown on 20-30 year old vines, rooted in sandy, gravelly soils. In the glass, it displays a deep, dark ruby color, and on the nose, vibrant red fruits mingle with spicy pepper and a subtle earthy note. On the palate, this medium-bodied wine unfolds with layers of cherry, raspberry, and strawberry, all beautifully balanced by firm yet approachable tannins and refreshing acidity. The long, satisfying finish echoes the peppery spice that graces the wine from beginning to end. Fantastic on its own; but it truly shines when paired with anything from ratatouille to juicy burgers, rich stews to seared duck breast.
