Frederic Leydet has been in control of the family estate since 2001 and has made changes to vinification and farming that have led to tremendous results. So much so that in a blind tasting of Michelin starred restaurant sommeliers, it garnered the same high marks as La Conseillante, Gazin and Vieux Chateau Certan. The 2016 is so beautiful. Supple but present tannins and loads of plums, currants, blackberry notes meld with sage and leaf tobacco notes make for a suave and elegant claret. Enjoy now through 2032.
