Ca’N Verdura Supernova Negre 2023
Ca’n Verdura Viticultores is a groundbreaking garage winery founded by Tomeu Llabrés in 2012, focused on the search and recovery of historic MallorquÃn vineyards and grape varieties. His wines are handmade with minimal intervention, respecting the culture and terroir of the land. Supernova Negre is Ca’n Verdura’s flagship red wine produced from the red Mantonegro grape, indigenous to the region of Mallorca and grown in red clay & limestone soils that are iron-rich and full of small and medium-sized galets (smooth stones or pebbles.) This ?old-vine ?Mantonegro is a fragrant, Mediterranean red; medium-bodied, with notes of wild berries, citrus, fresh herbs, and exotic spices. It is an intense, sincere wine. On the nose, what stands out above all are the aromas of ripe black fruit, floral notes with a base note of Mediterranean herbs, and a touch of smokiness. The palate is silky with a long and beautiful finish.
